Best known for his Oscar-nominated role as Mozart in Amadeus, Tom Hulce has starred in numerous features, including Dominic & Eugene with Todd GRAFF, Ron Howard’s Parenthood, Echo Park, and Slam Dance.

Hulce is active in all aspects of theatre, and is one of the producers of the Broadway hit Spring Awakening.

He is not outspoken about his homosexuality, but he said in 2008 in an interview with The Seattle Gay News that he is comfortable with being described as "openly gay". In the same interview he debunked as false the rumors that he had married an Italian artist named Cecilia Ermini, with whom he had a daughter, which has been repeated as fact on many websites, including imdb.com.

He’s recently been active in the civil rights movement, participating in GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) functions.

For many gay men and lesbian women, the first step in a long journey is acknowledging and accepting their sexuality. But what happens to those men and women after they have come to terms with this aspect of their lives? For many it may mean a complete reevaluation of very basic issues: family, relationships, community, and love.

In this series of essays, McNaught explores these various aspects of life that may now be called into question for these men and women, and he sets out to educate and help guide them through the challenges they may encounter.

Now That I'm Out, What Do I Do? solidifies McNaught's place as one of the best-known speakers on the issues that face gays and lesbians.

I hadn't heard of this book before, and B&N had a Nook version so I bought it. It can only help make my own M/M writing have a more truthful feel. Thanks for the spotlight.
