So sincerely, reading about a man who is planning to gift another man to his partner to prove the “true meaning of love”, was something that let me perplexed; but I have to admit that, how the author approached the story, and how they managed to draw all the characters in the story so comfortable with the situation, made it more than plausible.
And I think that is the point, I’m uncomfortable in reading these stories, since, most of the time, the characters in the story are uncomfortable with it. Usually it’s one of the two proposing it, and the other accepting, but I have never felt that acceptance as true. Here instead who is giving and who is receiving the gift are in totally harmony, and neither is reticence or uneasy.
