One decision can change your life - and the body you live it in.

Software engineer Lyle Estevez just watched his entire future go up in flames. His engagement is over, his start-up is suddenly penniless, and his eviction is imminent. Lyle thinks the music is about to stop when he receives a mysterious letter offering to make all his troubles go away. The offer has one catch: Lyle will need to spend the next year of his life living as the kept WOMAN of his benefactor.

What starts as simple crossdressing graduates to something more when Lyle is offered a black market gadget just hitting the states from Asia, one that promises to completely rework his genetics to match anyone he samples. Suddenly Lyle isn't Lyle anymore - he's the pampered companion of a reclusive billionaire and thinking he just made the easiest trade of his life. Until something goes wrong.

The biotechnology installed in Lyle's body isn't all that it appears to be, and sinister forces greater than any Lyle can imagine are closing to put an end to his life of sex, luxury, and carefree living before it even gets started. Will Lyle outwit the strange forces attempting to control his mind and shape his body? Will he discover he has feelings for his billionaire keeper? And can he keep them both safe before the secrets are revealed, or will he be collected and join Dale Buckner as a mindless love doll forever?

Solar Harris returns to the day-after-tomorrow future of gender swapping, body transformation, and sinister intrigue she created in ACQUIRED with a new chapter and a new protagonist - but plenty of old faces along the way.

* more than 150$ is a direct donation from a supporter of the Rainbow Awards who isn't submitting; while some authors were more than generous, arriving to donate 5 times the suggested amount, being the submission fee a non mandatory and voluntary direct donation, we were struggling to raise the same amount as last year and there is who decided to cover part of it. I thank you for all you are doing, and if you wish to donate to the above links, please drop me a note with your donation and I will update the total.

GayRomLit Retreat: Shira Anthony

Starting from March up until September I will feature authors attending the GayRomLit Retreat in Chicago (October 16-19, 2014:

Today author is Shira Anthony:
Shira Anthony is a complete sucker for a happily-ever-after, and rarely reads or writes a story without one. Never a fan of instalove, Shira likes to write stories about real men with real issues making real relationships work. In her last incarnation, Shira was a professional opera singer, performing roles in such operas as “Tosca,” “Pagliacci,” and “La Traviata,” among others. Her Blue Notes Series is loosely based upon her own experiences as a professional musician. Shira is married with two children and two insane dogs and when she’s not writing, she is usually in a courtroom trying to make the world safer for children. When she’s not working, she can be found aboard a 36’ catamaran at the Carolina coast with her favorite sexy captain at the wheel. She’s given up TV for evenings spent with her laptop, and she never goes anywhere without a pile of unread M/M romance on her Kindle.

Shira Anthony is offering a copy of Blue Notes to one commenter on this blog. You can comment on LJ or DW if you have an account (I will send a PM to the winner), if you don't have an account, please leave a comment on DW with a contact email.

A Blue Notes Novel

Blame it on jet lag. Jason Greene thought he had everything: a dream job as a partner in a large Philadelphia law firm, a beautiful fiancée, and more money than he could ever hope to spend. Then he finds his future wife in bed with another man, and he's forced to rethink his life and his choices. On a moment's notice, he runs away to Paris, hoping to make peace with his life.

But Jason's leave of absence becomes a true journey of the heart when he meets Jules, a struggling jazz violinist with his own cross to bear. In the City of Love, it doesn't take them long to fall into bed, but as they're both about to learn, they can't run from the past. Sooner or later, they'll have to face the music.

Note: Each Blue Notes novel is an independent story, although the characters all inhabit the same classical music universe. Books in the series can be read in any order.
