Light at the End of the Tunnel: A Memoir

"I enjoyed the writing and the basic premise used to tell this story."

This is a to-die-for love story. The 5-star reviews prove that this book is a fantastic love story, for all people. The diverse pool of readers (men and women, gay and straight) consistently say they are immediately drawn into the story, cheering the main characters on, as they are faced with obstacle after obstacle to be together. The book will help people going through the process of falling in love while still married to another, dealing with long-distance romance pain and suffering, and coming out.

Can love conquer all in this true story of fate and destiny, hopeless long-distance love, and coming out? In 1995, Sallyanne Monti was a 34-year-old mother of four, married to her husband of fifteen years, living on Staten Island, New York, an island in the Verrazano Narrows Bay.

When by an act of fate and via a misdirected email, she met Mickey Neill, a 44-year-old human resources manager, married to her husband of twenty years, living 3,000 miles away in Alameda, California, an island in the San Francisco Bay.

The rapid progression of events that led to their whirlwind friendship would test the bonds of matrimony, sexuality, and love. In the wake of a deluge of tears, pain, and dismal reality began the journey known as the Light at the End of the Tunnel.

The tunnel was the three thousand miles that separated them. The light was being connected, preferably in the same two square inches, or more realistically by phone, email, or computer, if only for a day, an hour, or a minute.

When the Stars Sang

"Absolutely loved this one. Quirky romance in a quirky setting. Loved the Island and the characters I met especially Blossom. Was completely drawn into getting to know both of the MC’s and their journey’s. This is not the first but definitely my favorite from this author. She has honed her storytelling and made it an art!"

Nearly twenty-five years ago, Kathleen Halloran’s brother drowned during the last summer they ever spent with their grandmother on a remote island off Maine’s coast. Like a siren’s call she can’t resist, Kathleen is pulled back to Little Sister Island. She leaves her job and her girlfriend, packs up her few belongings, and moves into her grandmother’s cottage.

Molly Cooper loves life on Little Sister, where the islanders take care of their own. Kathleen Halloran doesn’t belong here, and her arrival stirs up unwelcome memories for the islanders—including Molly’s brother. Molly is certain Kathleen will pack up at the first big blow. When she doesn’t, Molly begins to see maybe there’s more to Kathleen than she thought.

Sometimes, before you can move forward, you have to look back.
