2017 Rainbow Awards Honorable Mention: Bad Beginnings (Anchors) Nicole Field

1) The writing style is short, to the point, and efficient, which I appreciated. Despite Dante's crush on Kit, this isn't an insta-love kind of story, another thing to value. Apart from the male leads, there are some worthwhile female side characters too. The dialogue is realistic, the characters endearing, and the romance proceeds with a good pace. This is not a particularly deep book; this is basic warm, sweet, adorable romantic fluff that I liked a lot.

After the recent ending of a relationship, Kit feels lost and uncertain about where he stands without being in a relationship. Dante, on the other hand, has been waiting for this moment for years, and now that Kit is finally single he has no intention of wasting this chance. But even the most sincere feelings and best intentions aren't enough to guarantee happiness, and it's a long road from a bad start to a happy end.
