Sandra Canfield (November 21, 1944 - January 23, 2003)

Sandra Canfield is a pseudonym for Sandra Kay Patterson Canfield (November 21, 1944 - January 23, 2003) aka Karen Keast and Sandi Shane.

She wrote category romances for the Second Chance At Love line, the Silhouette Special Edition and Silhouette Desire imprints and one of the first Harlequin Historicals ever published. She passed away on January 23, 2003 in Shreveport, Louisiana following a lengthy illness.

A charter member of RWA, Ms. Canfield was the recipient of numerous writing awards and honors, including a Romantic Times Award in 1988-89 Continuing Series Romance (Mariah) and a RITA in 1991 for Romantic Suspense (Night Spice).

She wrote a weekly opinion column for The Shreveport Times.
